The Pupil Premium is additional funding for schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.
Pupil premium is not a personal budget for individual pupils, and schools do not have to spend pupil premium so that it solely benefits the individual pupils who meet the funding criteria. At Castor we use research provided to us from the education endowment fund, peer reviewed research, as well as pupil and parent voice collected annually to make decisions on how this money can best support our children at Castor.
